Contraindications
A contraindication is a condition that serves as a reason to NOT take a certain treatment due to the harm that it may cause you.
You will be asked to confirm your relevant medical history and any issues that could act as a contraindication in your free consultation. Please be open and honest about any / all conditions past and present, any / all relevant information – so that we can advise you appropriately.
Here are some conditions / criteria that we know to present a risk (non-exhaustive):
Inch loss, bottom lift, anti-cellulite treatments (any treatment that uses the cavitation treatment head):
- Pacemaker or internal defibrilator.
- Superficial metal or other implants in the treatment area.
- Any form of prosthesis, replacement joint or metal plates in the treatment area.
- Severe concurrent conditions such as cardiac disorders.
- Pregnancy or nursing.
- Patients with a history of diseases stimulated by heat, such as recurrent Herpes Simplex in the treatment area (may be treated only following a prophylactic regime).
- Any active condition in the treatment area, such as sores, psoriasus, eczema or undiagnosed rashes.
- Any surgical procedure in the treatment area within the last 3 months or before complete healing.
Anti-ageing (including eye bio lift), skin tightening and skin conditioning treatments (any treatment using the RF / Vaccum treatment heads):
- Pacemaker or internal defibrilator.
- Superficial metal or other implants in the treatment area.
- Any form of prosthesis, replacement joint or metal plates in the treatment area.
- Severe concurrent conditions such as cardiac disorders.
- Pregnancy or nursing.
- Current or history of skin cancer, as well as any other types of cancer or pre-malignant moles.
- Impaired immune system, such as AIDS or HIV, or use of immuno-suppressive medications.
- Diseases which may be stimulated by light at the wavelengths used, such as a history of Systemic Lupus, Erythematosus, Porphyria and Epilepsy.
- Facial laser resurfacing and deep chemical peeling within the last 3 months (if in the applicable treatment area).
- Any surgical / invasive treatment in the treatment area within the last 3 months or before complete healing (including fillers / injectable treatments).
